We're excited for IMPACT 2012 at Lipscomb University. IMPACT Jr. is a summer camp experience for all of our students currently in grades 6-8. It's an incredible chance for our students to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ & with each other. Each day is filled with fun activities, dynamic worship, challenging messages, & incredible entertainment. Every year IMPACT serves as one of the most significant spiritual events in the lives of our students!

We are so excited for our Jr. High Family Beach Retreat in Jekyll Island! We will be staying at Villas by the Sea, a great conference center that offers One, Two, and Three bedroom villas.

This year, you have the ability to book your condo to your preference. The rates are as follows...

The villas have  fully stocked kitchen, bedding and towels. Don’t forget to bring your beach towels, beach toys, sunscreen, volleyballs, beach chairs & umbrellas!

There are many fun things for you & your family to do on Jekyll Island.  Bike rentals, Driftwood beach, Georgia Sea & Turtle Center, Shopping, Mini Golf, Dolphin Tours & of course, the beach!

This retreat is a wonderful weekend for all of our families with students currently in grades 6-8.  We'll have times to worship together as families, sessions with meaningful messages designed with your family in mind, family games, fun in the sun & opportunities for your family to share in a spiritual experience together.

Where: Villas by the Sea- 1175 N. Beachview Drive, Jekyll Island, GA

Cost: This year you will call Villas by the Sea to make your own reservations.  They have reserved a block of rooms for our retreat.  There is NO additional retreat fee.  You may pre-order a retreat t-shirt when you click to register for $10. Group meals at the retreat will be available for $5 per person.

Every student must have a parent or guardian attend with them on the retreat.

It seems like we are constantly increasing the pace in which we live life.  If your family is like ours, your time is packed full of things to do.  Although, often for great reasons, staying busy with church, work, school, sports, and ministry opportunities can be taxing on the family.  At a recent All Pro Dads event, I was reminded of the importance in spending time with your kids.  If your son or daughter is in 6th grade, you only have about 312 weekends left to spend with them.  If they are in 8th, you are down to 208, and that does not include the time that you will miss because they will soon be old enough to drive.  The CSM Jr. High beach retreat is a fantastic way to put life’s busy schedule behind you and spend quality time with your family and friends.  Each year that our family has gone we come back feeling spiritually strengthened, we meet new friends, grow closer to our current family friends, and closer to CSM leaders and interns.  And. . . It’s at the beach!  What a great place to experience God’s wonder and might.  On behalf of CSM, we truly hope to see you there.
