Fundraising

Many of our students raise funds so that they can be a part of our mission trip to the City of Children.  There are many ways you as an individual can raise funds.  Many people in your life are willing to give towards your mission trip.  It's a way they can invest in you.  And it's a great investment to make.  Nothing impacts a teenager's spiritual life more that a mission trip!  Here are a few helpful tips as you begin praying & asking people to support you in this effort.

First, start early!  The sooner you begin the better.  Starting early lets people know you are committed to this effort & you are planning ahead.  Don't wait till the last minute & ask people to contribute immediately to your mission trip.  People are more likely to give when you inform them early of your desire & give them time to pray & plan to give towards what you're doing.

Second, send them a handwritten note.  Nothing means more than receiving a handwritten note from you explaining why you want to go on this mission trip.  You can see a sample letter below.  Take time to think through your reasons for wanting to be a part of this mission trip & write each individual a personal note requesting their prayerful & financial assistance.

Third, make it easy for them to contribute.  We will have a place set up on our web site for people to go online & donate to you.  You can also ask them to write a check to Campus Church with your name in the memo box & either return that to you or mail it to Campus Church: 1525 Indian Trail Lilburn Road, Norcross, GA 30093

Lastly, consider offering some type of service in return for donations towards your trip.  People are generous givers when they know you are willing to work for financial support & they know that they are donating towards a cause.  Whether it's babysitting, cutting grass, washing cars, whatever... let people know you would like to work for your support.
