NEW BABY:
Congratulations to Todd and Kelly Posey and big brother, Garrett, who welcomed Ansley Michelle Posey on Tuesday, September 15, at 10:08 am. She weighed in at 7 lbs and was 19 ¾ inches in length.
PRAYER CONCERNS:
Mike Brown is scheduled this morning (Friday, September 19) for the amputation of his toe.
Carol Harsh will have partial knee replacement surgery on Thursday, September 25.
Ana Kerfoot has been diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia. This is a rare, incurable, non-Alzheimer’s dementia that affects her ability to communicate.
Jim Sol, son of Lim Min Jae and Sue Ji (Campus Korean church preacher & his wife) is very ill. He has a congenital heart condition.
Cindy Kilpatrick was able to go home from the hospital Saturday morning, September 13 following a mastectomy. The tests showed that the cancer had not spread to the lymph nodes. She will have several rounds of chemo starting in a couple of weeks.
Judy McMahan came through surgery with flying colors. The doctor was able to remove the tumor. It was a return of cancer from her previous surgery, but thankfully it was slow growing. Specimens from the tumor have been sent to two special labs to match for the chemo protocol. She will stay in the hospital for several more days in room 3236 at Dekalb Medical Center. The phone # is 404 501 3236.
Guy Whitehead’s surgery went longer than expected, but the outcome was good. The doctors were unable to carry out the original plan but did complete the surgery successfully.
Karen Blackman is in unit 16 Neuro at Gwinnett Medical Center Lawrenceville. She is improving and may begin rehab soon. She is enjoying a good reduction in pain and very optimistic of getting back into the pool (swim coach at GACS).
Larry Gentner got a good report from his oncologist. The tumors all are significantly smaller. The chemo will continue, minus one chemical that is causing some loss of feeling in his fingers.
Hall Irby has been moved from Piedmont Hospital to Decatur Hospital for rehab and nutrition therapy. He will be there for 1 to 2 weeks.
Lucille Hannah (mother of Trish Betterton), is recovering from surgery to repair broken bones, suffered in a fall. She is at Life Care Center of Lawrenceville, 210 Collins Industrial Way, Lawrenceville, GA 30043, room 218B.
Mae Riner, Carol Cole’s mom, is in room 208 at Life Care Center of Gwinnett (off Lester Road, south of Hwy 29 Lilburn). She is in rehab in the mornings and enjoys visits in the afternoon.
