Elders

Bill Burton 

Bill and family have been members of Campus Church since 1980.  He has been a deacon and Bible class teacher at all levels from early childhood through adult.  Bill serves as the contact elder for Campus Church Youth Ministry. Bill and his wife Linda have been married since 1970.  They have four children, Ashley, Nathan, Lindsay and Jake. Bill is the high school principal at Greater Atlanta Christian School (GACS) and has been with the school since 1970.

Jim Combee 

Jim Combee and family have been members of Campus Church from within one month of the congregation’s inception in 1972.  Jim served as a deacon, then as elder from 1979 until 1990 as the contact for youth and worship.  Jim was instrumental in beginning several Upreach Groups.  He was appointed as an elder again in 1997 and serves as the contact elder for missions. Jim and his wife Becky have been married since 1960.  Three of their children and their families are members at Campus.  The fourth attends Grace Chapel.  They are very proud grandparents of several grandchildren.  Jim is the owner and CEO of Data Supplies, Inc.

 Tim Dunn

Tim Dunn and his family have been members of Campus Church since 1981. Tim has been an elder at Campus since 1991 serving as the contact elder for financial, administration, data management, building and grounds, audiovisual and is a member of the missions committee. Tim and his wife Sheila have two married children and are proud grandparents. They have both been volunteers for the Youth Ministry in the past. In January, 1995, Tim retired from Delta Air Lines after more than 30 years at which time was added to the staff of Campus Church as Office Administrator.

David Fincher 

Dr. David Fincher and family have been members of Campus Church since 1976. He has taught various Bible classes and has preached on occasion. David serves as the contact elder for worship and strategic planning. David and his wife Beth have three adult children, Matt, Kim and Stephanie and a growing number of grandchildren! David is the President of Greater Atlanta Christian School.

 Walker Kendrick

Walker Kendrick and family have been members of Campus Church since 1972. Walker has served as deacon, adult Bible class teacher, Upreach leader and has been the contact elder for education since 1991. Walker and his wife Ann have two adult children, Brad and Robin. Walker retired from the Dekalb county school system in June of 1999. He served for thirty years as an elementary school principal. He joined the ministerial staff in July of 1999 and is the minister of education and Upreach at Campus.

Jesse Long 

Jesse Long has been a member of Campus Church and one of it’s elders since the beginning of the congregation in 1972. For sixteen years he served as one of the pulpit ministers. Jesse and his wife Marilyn have five children and thirteen grandchildren. Three of their children attend Campus Church. Jesse is the Chancellor of Greater Atlanta Christian School. He serves as the contact elder for worship and the Atlanta Inner City Ministry. Marilyn has served as a coordinator of Campus ladies’ programs in the past.

 Butch Nutt

Butch Nutt and his wife Hilda have been active members at Campus since 1978. They have three sons, Stan, Kevin and Steven. They are also proud grandparents of seven grandchildren. Butch and Hilda have been Upreach Leaders in the Young At Heart Class and the Searchers Class since the program began in the early 80’s. They have acted as hosts and facilitators in the Impact Group program and the Loving Relationships series. Hilda has also worked in the Campus Children’s Center. Butch is a retired Delta Air Lines pilot. He serves as the contact elder for benevolence.

Charles Westbrook 

Charles Westbrook and family have been members of Campus Church since 1974. He has been an elder since 1987 and presently serves as the contact elder for connections and jail ministries. Charles served as a Campus deacon for 11 years prior to becoming an elder. He has worked with outreach, visitation, telecare and upreach ministries. Charles has two adult children Amy and Chad. In December, 1996, Charles retired from Delta Air Lines after 32 years as a pilot.
